They Were "Melt in Your Mouth" Yummy, too.

Six-pointed Ginger stars
Each iced with a different pattern
No cookieflake is exactly alike.

I Thought it was Winter

The mucky snow comes and goes
Green things peek up through brown leaves
Those fallen and matted in October
Can it be Autumn, Winter, and Spring all in one day?

----
And so the January River of Stones begins!
Sorry I haven't been doing a lot with this blog in the last few months. I haven't been making time for it. Here's hoping I can keep up with the river all month! :D

Evening Light

Evening sun glides through my window
Printing leafy light patterns on the cupboards.

Itchy Kitty

-thupthupthupthup-
In the deep of night I recognize
The unique sound of
A cat scratching behind its ear.

Day Moon

Mid afternoon crescent moon
Basks happily in the daylight.

Light On The Eye

Highlights reflected off plastic bags
Flicker black and turquoise mid-blink.

Blank Pages Required

Filled to the brim with
My loves, sorrows, and joys of all sizes.
Soon I shall need a new journal.

----
I've decided I'm going to start slowing down how often I post to this blog, since the July River of Stones has been over for awhile, and I've been spacing on posting anyway. :) Now it will be just every other day, I think.
