At waking time, out the window
The moon dusts the clouds again
With light blue, highlighting puffs
At leaving time, looking back down the drive
The sun in turn paints cloud bellies
With peony and marigold
At school time, strolling east into school
Grey fog blends hill and sky
Shielding directly looking eyes
From the glowing citrus semicircle
The sun peeking over an indistinguishable horizon

Watching sunrises in installments is kind of neat, but I wish I could have watched this one in its entirety. This ended up being more of a "not-so-big rock" instead of a small stone. I thought of letting it be three separate stones (as each view was strikingly beautiful in itself), but these moments occurred in order today and I wanted to put them together.
